Workspace personalization

Scense Workspace Management enables an IT administrator to decouple the layers of the client environment that are unique to the user from the computer device on which the end-user is working. This allows users to be independent of the computer and place where they will be working. End-users will always have their personalized Workspace including all of their user settings and applications, optimized for their current context and personalized to everyone’s unique way of working.

Profile virtualization

 “Scense Live Profiles” is a fire and forget solution for user profile management. Workspace and application related user settings are separately and centrally stored but transparently available regardless of the version of the Microsoft Windows operating system and accessible throughout the entire landscape of physical and virtual desktops, laptops, terminal server sessions, unmanaged PCs and natively installed and virtual applications.

Context aware management

To deliver the optimal desktop experience for users and to ensure compliance with IT regulations, Scense considers their context – the type of device they are using, the OS version, physical location and so on. Administrator, for example, will be able to implement ‘follow-me’ printing or configure a virtual desktop based on the desktop pool where it was created.

Application distribution

”Scense Easy Delivery” prepares and delivers applications to end users in just two mouse clicks. Applications are instantly available anytime, anywhere. Scense Easy delivery is extremely easy to use and will help to delegate delivery tasks to application managers and even end users. Scense Easy Delivery supports Windows Installer, App-V, Symantec Workspace Virtualization and ThinApp applications. Within Scense's management console, other distribution methods like Citrix XenApp, Xenocode, InstallFree and generic installers are supported with the same easy of use. One console to manage them all.

Application configuration

Scense’s unique “Dynamic Application Management” enables an IT administrator to personalize any type of Windows application and guarantee compliance with IT regulations. This includes all the needed User Profile settings based on the context of the user and provisioned to client-side or server-side personalized Workspaces. The end users will always have the application ready for use and personalized towards their needs wherever they need the application in real-time.

Conflict free provisioning

Scense “Conflict free Workspace Provisioning” is based on a unique technology (patent pending) called “Scense Adaptive Installer”. This functionality enables an on demand and in real-time conflict isolation of conflicting application components during application installation. Adaptive Installer does not need expensive conflict databases or packaging experts and rogue applications will not harm your business application anymore. Just import the application you bought into Scense and you are done.
